Easter Sunrise Service

This year I have decided to attend the Easter Sunrise Service at Red Rocks Amphitheater (RRA). Leaving the house around 5:30am because I thought it only takes less than 30 minutes to reach there and after parking the car I should be just on time. However, when approaching the RRA, I could see the cars lining up bumper to bumper from far. I thought to myself that I would not make it on time. Nevertheless, the line moved fast and when I reached RRA, I just parked near the entrance and thinking walking would be faster than staying in the line. It was a great exercise to get up to RRA after walking for a while. I could hear the music when I was almost there. I reached there feeling sweaty and to my surprise, it was packed in the theater. I could not find a seat in the theater itself and so I sat outside on the steps next to the theater and there were already many people sitting outside. Anyway, I got to witness the releasing of the doves as they flew from the theater. I found a spot and sat down and then joined in the singing and the service.

Around 6am, I saw the sun rising from the skyline. It was so magnificent! The message was a great reminder that we can do all things because Jesus got up! We live to serve.

After walking around the park and taking many pictures, I left the park and went home to study. It was a memorable experience. He is risen indeed!
